Stand in Awe
Prayer of Habakkuk

The prayer of the Prophet Habakkuk indicates the awe of the prophet on the majesty of God. The prayer continues describing the Almighty God with His power and splendor.
In a time when things are not going according to the plan I had for me, I am often reminded that it is not up to me and not up to my plan. When I give my all to Him, he is now in charge of the plan and His plan is always for my good. While I may not see His hand at the time, if I leave my trust in Him, he will always work on my behalf. I often look back and see how God worked in situations that at the time I was certain were hopeless. Looking back and confessing the great things He has done in your life helps to build your trust in what is happening today.
In Verse 17, Habakkuk states his trust in God
Habakkuk 3:17–19 (CSB)
Though the fig tree does not bud and there is no fruit on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though the flocks disappear from the pen and there are no herds in the stalls,
yet I will celebrate in the LORD; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation!
The LORD my Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like those of a deer and enables me to walk on mountain heights!
Prayer for today
Almighty God, King of all creation. Your majestic ways are demonstrated all around me on a daily basis. Your glory extends throughout the whole earth. Even when I am in times of difficulty, I know Your will is being done and Your great work is again being demonstrated in my life. Expand my trust in You, help me to always "Rejoice in the God of my salvation!". Today I will sing of Your goodness, I will speak of Your everlasting love, I will walk in Your Joy because this is the day You have made for me. Today will be a good day because You are in control of my life and I give this day to you to use for Your glory!
Amen
