Passion 2025 just got over and if you are not familiar with what Passion 2025 is all about, stop reading and go take a look at Moments from Passion Conference

Before I go any further, I want to acknowledge that this is a conference geared towards 18-25 year olds but ...

“Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3

So, I was watching Passion 2025 on livestream and I repeatedly heard said "For the Glory of God" up to and including what the Christian RAP artist KB said at the end of his performance "H.G.A. - His Glory Alone". I got to thinking about WHY I do things. Do I do everything with the end goal of God receiving the Glory?

The next morning, I woke up and I USUALLY try to prioritize Bible Reading BEFORE Facebook, Email, or anything else on my mind. However, I started by opening up Facebook and saw a "Short" from Bill Johnson talking about Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." https://www.facebook.com/share/r/19p2JaqbFS/

Bill talks about our shift from focusing on God to focusing on the blessing. When the blessing becomes of greater importance than God, it becomes an idol.

After this provoking thought, I opened my Bible and the reading for the day was from Isiah 54 and I noticed that this was highlighted from a previous reading..

  1. Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. "

  2. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited.

  3. Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.

And I thought, that is great. God talking about preparing for his blessings. and THEN I noticed the next verse (that wasn't highlighted at the time)

  1. For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.

I hope I finally got the message.
